When monitoring print jobs you can ...

• Check a document's size and take action if too large
• Check the number of pages a document has - e.g. to ensure large prints are directed at more mainstream printers

If the document fails a check, the Quick Monitor can take action automatically for you, including ...

• Delete the print job, optionally informing the document's owner

• Monitor key services. In addition to the Windows Print Spooler, you can also monitor other services running on the server - e.g. auto-start services, COM+, MSDTC etc.
   
• Monitor your server's performance. The Quick Monitor comes pre-configured with settings that help ensure that key performance parameters are within expected limits. These can be further enhanced with other hardware & software counters, depending on your server's configuration.
   
• Monitor errors written to the Windows Event Log. System errors are often written to the local Event Log. The Quick Monitor can check & report on these based on event ID, message text etc. 
    
• Text-based Log Files. In addition to the Event Log, text-based log files can also be monitored, based on keywords using the Quick Monitor.
   
• Available disk space. To run efficiently, your Windows server as well as the print spooler itself need plenty of free disk space. Using the Sentry-go Quick Monitor you can automatically ensure free space is available, automatically clearing down temporary files & warning you to the issue if this free space becomes more limited.
